REFUNDS AND GRANT APPLICATIONS


Please read the following before claiming


A
refund claim will only be considered from Full/Associate or named family members of the Association. The refund will be a percentage figure decided upon by the committee, but will not be in excess of 50% of the costs involved.
 
Refunds will only be dealt with by the Taunton Association Treasurer. Other requests for financial support i.e. grants for organised trips of groups of members to sporting events, theatre trips, cultural memberships, CSSC Competitions etc. MUST be submitted on the appropriate Grant Application form to the Grants Committee for consideration.
 
A claim will not be paid in advance of a planned refundable event.
 
No claim for a refund will be considered more than one month after the date of the event taking place.
 
No more than one claim, per member, will be considered in any calendar month.
 
A refund will be paid by the association for ‘local’ sporting and leisure events. i.e. taking part or observing, etc. sporting/cultural/cinema visits, etc. .  This covers Taunton itself of course, plus Yeovil ( Yeovil Town football) and Exeter (Exeter Chiefs rugby), etc.  Members living in other areas, i.e. Barnstaple, can also be considered for refunds to “local” events in their own area, but which would not be considered as “local” enough for, say, Taunton-based members (and vice-versa of course).
 
A refund will be based solely on the actual cost of the event, and will
not include any additional element for e.g. payment by Credit/Debit card.
 
Appropriate evidence of ticket purchase, tickets and or receipts MUST be supplied. Purchase cards, as issued by Taunton Racecourse on day of purchase, with no details printed on them are not considered sufficient evidence. In this event please ask for a receipt.
 
Multiple claims i.e. two or more for separate events on one form will not be accepted. Please use a separate form for each claim.
 
Children under 16 years or in full time education (up to 18 years old) must be family members to qualify for refunds. Family Membership for 2011 is £10 for adults and £5 for children.
 
No member will receive more than half the Annual membership fee (currently £42) per member in any one claim unless special circumstances arise.
