ENJOY A ROUND OF GOLF FOR JUST £5 AT

The association has purchased a Corporate Membership ticket which will allow us to organise a round of golf for up to four members per week.

This does not entitle us to enjoy the rights of the golf club’s full members but we can make use of the clubhouse and its associated facilities. 

Members who wish to take advantage of this offer should register their interest with Kevin Black by email at kevin.black@ukho.gov.

Please include your name, CSSC Membership Number and email address.

2.      What days can I play on?
The corporate partnership is for a 1 x 4 ball per week Mon-Fri excluding Bank Holidays
 
3.      What time can I play and what rules are there?
Kevin will contact the golf club on your behalf if the week you require is free. Please state the day you would prefer to play on but try to be as flexible as you can – Be aware that players must have some sort of golf experience (not necessarily a handicap) and must be either Taunton CSSC Full/Associate or Family members to be eligible to play (All names and numbers must be given to Kevin in your e-mail)..
 
4.      What is the golf club dress code?
The Golf club dress code is to be adhered to (On the Course and Practice Grounds:
 
Shirts must:
  ·         have a collar or turtle neck
·         have sleeves (men)
·         be tucked into the waistband of trousers (unless specifically designed to be worn outside)
Any logo or badge must be restricted to a Club badge or similar.
 
Shorts:
  ·         must be tailored and worn to no more than two inches above the knee.
  Three-quarter- length trousers may be worn but must not have patch pockets.
 
Socks:
  ·         when worn with shorts or three-quarter length trousers, socks (unless knee length) must be predominantly white in colour.
 
Jeans, blue denim, tracksuits, football or rugby shirts, combat trousers or similar are not permitted anywhere on the Club premises.
 
Headgear must not be worn in the Clubhouse.
 
Clean golf clothing may be worn in the Clubhouse, but players are required to change from clothing in which they have played golf before using the dining room. Shorts are not permitted in the dining room.
 
 
4.      Will I  be able to have any golf lessons and what will I be charged?
Lessons are available to all –  prices are currently £22 for  a ½ hour lesson or 3 for £55, 5 for £85 or 10 for £160.  The club professional gives lessons on the practice range but covers all aspects from putting to bunker play and also on course lessons.
 
      5.    Will there be discounted food and drink available to members on the day?
A Golf club membership card will be available at the club – This card does not have any credit initially placed on it but can be charged up on the day at the bar for members enjoyment. The individuals using it are then entitled to  20% discount off drinks and 10% off their food. The card MUST BE returned to  the office before leaving the golf club.
 
5.      What does it cost to play a round and who do I pay.
The charge will be £5 per player. Please make cheques payable to ‘Taunton CSSA’ and send them to
